Dates and walnuts Balls

No Cook No Bake

Today dried fruit consumption is widespread  and is prized because of its sweet taste, nutritive value and long shelf life. Dried fruit has a long tradition of use dating back to the fourth millennium BC in Mesopotamia.

My favorite dry fruits are dates, walnuts and almonds. Bite into a  freshly pickled date and you 'll experience a burst of warm caramel flavor and a dense, chewy texture. Dates ripen and dry on the tree, natural sugars, making them the only fresh dried fruit. Nature's candy has health benefits too, dates are full of antioxidants and are a good source of fiber and potassium. Try chopping dates and adding them to a healthy date cookie recipe or adding them to muffins, or chutney. My healthy date recipe for dessert, is delicious way to eat more naturally sweet dates with walnuts that is nice and crunchy.

All you need only 3 ingredients - dates, walnuts , and coconut powder for this easy and super tasty  treat. I like to make healthy treats and have them ready in case we need them on the go or if guests at our door and I don't have time to prepare something that instant.

You need:

One pack dates, pitted

One cup Walnuts, chopped

Half cup coconut powder

Method:

Take all the pits out of the dates, and wash them.

Add the dates and remaining ingredients to the chopped walnuts in the food processor.

Once incorporated to your liking, take heaping scoops and shape into balls.

Roll each ball in coconut to coat nicely.

Place on a cookie sheet or paper napkin.

All these you must store away diligently every time you make.
